Shyam Giridhar Mohan Kana - Meaning of the song
This song is based on the devotion and life of the devotee Mirabai.
Pallavi:
The Lord who lifted the Govardhana mountain is the Lord of Meera. She chants that holy name day and night. Meera, who is immersed in devotion to Krishna, does not feel hungry or sleepy, she finds peace only when she worships the Lord.
Anupallavi:
Forgetting her dignity and shame, she leaves the comforts of the palace and goes down with that Muralidharan. Mad with love, Meera is absorbed in the colors of Shyamavarna's devotion and sings.
Stanza 1:
In the dark night, the name of Kanan (Krishna) shines like a lamp spreading light. As Meera dances with a heart full of love, her feet make a beautiful sound.
Stanza 2:
She wanders through the forests in search of her beloved Shyama, sacrificing all her worldly pleasures. Her tears fall as a shower of devotion. She has only the thirst to melt at the feet of the Lord.
Bhakti Build-Up:
"I have no one else but my Giridhara Gopalan," Meera loudly declares. Without Shyamaan, Meera's life is incomplete. The nectar of Hari Naam is showered everywhere.
Climax:
Meera, maddened by the Lord's murli song, dances in Vrindavan. Immersed in the ecstasy of love, she awaits her reunion with Krishna.
Mangalam:
The sky is filled with the calls of Radhe Govinda. The name of Shyama flows like nectar. May that Lord Krishna, the Lord of Meera, be victorious!

ഈ ഗാനം ഭക്തശിരോമണിയായ മീരാഭായിയുടെ കൃഷ്ണഭക്തിയെയും ജീവിതത്തെയും ആസ്പദമാക്കി തയ്യാറാക്കിയതാണ്.
പല്ലവി:
ഗിരിധരനായ (ഗോവർദ്ധന പർവ്വതം ഉയർത്തിയ) ആ ഭഗവാനാണ് മീരയുടെ നാഥൻ. രാവും പകലും അവൾ ആ പുണ്യനാമം ജപിച്ചുകൊണ്ടിരിക്കുന്നു. കൃഷ്ണഭക്തിയിൽ മുഴുകിയിരിക്കുന്ന മീരയ്ക്ക് വിശപ്പോ ഉറക്കമോ ഇല്ല, ഭഗവാനെ ഭജിക്കുമ്പോൾ മാത്രമാണ് അവൾക്ക് സമാധാനം ലഭിക്കുന്നത്.
അനുപല്ലവി:
തന്റെ അന്തസ്സും ലജ്ജയും മറന്ന്, കൊട്ടാരത്തിലെ സുഖസൗകര്യങ്ങൾ ഉപേക്ഷിച്ച് അവൾ ആ മുരളീധരന്റെ കൂടെ ഇറങ്ങിത്തിരിച്ചു. പ്രേമത്താൽ ഭ്രാന്തായ മീര ശ്യാമവർണ്ണന്റെ ഭക്തിയുടെ നിറങ്ങളിൽ അലിഞ്ഞുചേർന്ന് പാടുകയാണ്.
ചരണം 1:
ഇരുളടഞ്ഞ രാത്രിയിൽ കാനന്റെ (കൃഷ്ണന്റെ) നാമം പ്രകാശം പരത്തുന്ന ദീപം പോലെ തെളിയുന്നു. പ്രേമം നിറഞ്ഞ ഹൃദയത്തോടെ മീര നൃത്തം ചെയ്യുമ്പോൾ അവളുടെ പാദസരങ്ങൾ മനോഹരമായി നാദമുതിർക്കുന്നു.
ചരണം 2:
ഐഹിക സുഖങ്ങളെല്ലാം ത്യാഗം ചെയ്ത് തന്റെ പ്രിയപ്പെട്ട ശ്യാമനെ തേടി അവൾ വനങ്ങളിൽ അലയുകയാണ്. അവളുടെ കണ്ണുനീർ ഭക്തിയുടെ മഴയായി പെയ്യുന്നു. ഭഗവാന്റെ പാദങ്ങളിൽ അലിഞ്ഞുചേരാനുള്ള ദാഹം മാത്രമാണ് അവൾക്കുള്ളത്.
ഭക്തിയുടെ ഉച്ചസ്ഥായി (Bhakti Build-Up):
"എനിക്ക് എന്റെ ഗിരിധര ഗോപാലൻ അല്ലാതെ മറ്റാരുമില്ല" എന്ന് മീര ഉറക്കെ പ്രഖ്യാപിക്കുന്നു. ശ്യാമനില്ലാതെ മീരയുടെ ജീവിതം അപൂർണ്ണമാണ്. എവിടെയും ഹരിനാമത്തിന്റെ അമൃതം വർഷിച്ചുകൊണ്ടിരിക്കുന്നു.
ക്ലൈമാക്സ്:
ഭഗവാന്റെ മുരളിഗാനം കേട്ട് ഭ്രാന്തമായ മീര വൃന്ദാവനത്തിൽ നൃത്തം ചെയ്യുന്നു. പ്രേമസമാധിയിൽ മുഴുകിയ അവൾ കൃഷ്ണനുമായുള്ള പുനഃസമാഗമത്തിനായി കാത്തിരിക്കുന്നു.

രാധേ ഗോവിന്ദാ വിളികളാൽ ആകാശം മുഖരിതമാകുന്നു. ശ്യാമനാമം അമൃതുപോലെ ഒഴുകുന്നു. മീരയുടെ നാഥനായ ആ ശ്രീകൃഷ്ണ ഭഗവാന് ജയമുണ്ടാകട്ടെ!
